This Privacy Policy is subject to our Terms of Service and is incorporated into and made part of the Terms of Service. We also cannot be responsible for your Personal Information that you submit to third parties using the Services. Please check their individual policies before you submit any information to those websites.

 

Corporations and philanthropists, foundation, orphanage, or agency including related associations, and colleges and universities  (hereinafter referred to as “Partners”) may use the Site and/or Services to coordinate the interactions with students and the sponsor for funding, sponsorship opportunities for students or other related purposes. The Partners must also at all times comply with applicable laws that relate to the Site and/or Services including their use of Site and/or Services or any information or content posted therein. Partners using the Site and/or Services have access to and must use student data only for proving scholarship and related purposes in accordance with this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Partners have access to information submitted by the User as a part of the scholarship application. Once submitted, Impactis does not control the use of applications. Additionally, once your application has been disclosed, we are not able to retrieve it or ensure the destruction of it by the third parties who accessed it. We advise that any data provided by you including your application should not contain sensitive information including racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, biometric or identification numbers and personality profiles. You agree that any such information provided by you is solely at your own risk. Users that have questions regarding the privacy practices and policies of Partners with respect to Personal Information should contact the Partners directly. We may process your Personal Information for the following purposes:
 

(i)    providing our services to Users including to send you scholarship opportunities;
(ii)    to give User relevant search results and recommended scholarship/ funding opportunities;
(iii)    facilitate communication as part of the college or university application;
(iv)    match the profile of the students with the relevant Partners;
(v)    providing Users with customer support;
(vi)    give User relevant search results;
(vii)    using information collected from cookies and other technologies, to improve User’s experience and the overall quality of our Services;
(viii)    preventing, detecting, investigating and taking action against crimes, any other illegal activities.

 

•    Information Processing Outside Your Nation

 

We may transfer your information and process it outside your country of residence. You acknowledge that your information may be subject to the privacy and data protection laws and regulations which may be different from any applicable laws and regulations of your country of residence.

 

•    Partners

 

We may use an individual’s information to maximize opportunities to connect such individual with potential Partners. We may use an individual’s information to allow that individual to contact Partners and Partners to contact an individual.

 

•    Network Feedback

 

Your information is used when you send communications to your network through our services, i.e. the recipient can see your name, email address. For example, an invitation sent to provide feedback using our services will list your name and email address in the header of the message. (iii)    to potential Partners if we determine that the student application is suitable for a particular Partner; 

(iv)    to third party service providers and partners that Impactis engages to a) provide services over the Platform; b) maintain the Platform and mailing lists including undertaking technical and content-related tasks in the provision of our website; or c) communicate with User on Impactis’s behalf about offers relating to its Services. We may also disclose the information you share with us on an aggregate basis to other Users of the Site and/or Services and to service providers and other agents engaged to perform functions on our behalf (such as processing of payments, hosting of our website, marketing of our products and services, conducting audits, and performing analytics).
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that these third-party service providers are obligated to protect your Personal Information and are also subject to appropriate confidentiality/non-disclosure obligations and they comply with the applicable provisions of the data protection laws; 

(v)    when we believe in good faith that it is required by law;

(vi)    as necessary to enforce our Terms of Service or ensure the rights, property, or security of Impactis and our Users;

If you wish to delete your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, please contact us at contact@impactisnow.com. Kindly note that doing so may result in your not being able to access or receive certain services. 

 

Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose Personal Information where such collection, use and disclose without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.

 

ADDITIONAL OBLIGATIONS

 

THIS CLAUSE IS ONLY APPLICABLE WHERE THE USER IS A PARTNER. User may use the Site and/or Services to provide scholarships through the Site and/or services. User may also search student applications posted on the Site and/or Services if students agree to release their applications through the act of applying for scholarships/ funding from the Partners. Users which have partnered with us to provide scholarships to the students through the Site and/or Services are required to comply with all applicable laws. Where applicable, by accessing and using the Sites and/or Services, User explicitly agrees to use any data you view on or through the Sites and/or Services only to the extent reasonably necessary to consider an individual for the applicable scholarship or other authorized purpose. User may access and use various tools, features, and functionality of the Site and/Services, such as reviewing student applications and other application materials. User agrees to use, disclose, protect all information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Specifically, User agrees not to disclose any information to any third party except as otherwise provided in this Policy. User agrees to provide students the option to update, correct and delete their information upon request. User agrees to provide reasonable and standard security to protect information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. User’s failure to abide by the terms of this Privacy Policy may result in legal liabilities and obligations.

 

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

The Personal Information of the User will not be retained by Impactis any longer than it is necessary for the purposes for which the Personal Information is processed and/or in accordance with legal, regulatory, contractual or statutory obligations as applicable or Impactis’s internal policies and procedures.

 

At the expiry of such periods, the Personal Information of the User will be deleted or archived in compliance with applicable laws.

Although we strive to provide a high standard of security and privacy, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure or effective, and we do not guarantee or warrant to the security and privacy of any data, information or content. You should be mindful to share only the information that you feel comfortable under these circumstances.
